Ascidian larvae and young adults
Welcome to a gallery of ascidian photographs! These images were taken with a microscope digital camera (AmScope MU1400) attached to a compound microscope during the 2017 Tunicate Taxonomy and Biology course at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Specimens were collected and fertilisation was done by course participants. Scale can be calculated using the following calibration images:
